Basic Photography Course

Inspiring course for the beginning photographer to get to know your camera better and develop your photographic vision. You will learn the basic techniques of photography and which camera settings to apply to realize the image you had in mind.

What distinguishes a photo that works from a photo that doesn’t work? 

Through viewing and discussing inspiring images and practical assignments you get insight into creative photography as well as learning to master the technique.

Please note: This class is taught in English. You can also take this class in Dutch on Monday.

What do you learn in the Basic Photography Course?

You will learn the basic techniques of photography. 

Subjects are: aperture, shutter speed, ISO values, exposure, white balance, lenses, focusing, use of light, and composition. All subjects are presented in a clear way.

At the end of the course, you will understand the basic functions of your camera, you will have a first impression of the possibilities of image editing, you will look more critically and consciously at the image and you will be better able to put your vision in a photo.

What do you need for the Basic Photography Course?

For the Basic Photography Course, you need a digital camera, preferably manually adjustable.

The course consists of a block of 8 lessons. The lessons are given in a pleasant atmosphere with plenty of time for all your questions.
