Schilderen zoals jij dat wilt

Ontdek het plezier van schilderen en creëer je eigen cursus. De cursus start met een aantal opdrachten. Uitgangspunt is dat je vanuit het ‘doen’ leert schilderen. Je krijgt veel ruimte voor een brede interpretatie van de opdrachten en indien gewenst een eigen inbreng.

Door te experimenteren met verf en kwast ontwikkel en bepaal je je eigen richting. Bijvoorbeeld door te schilderen aan de hand van een thema of een bepaald uitgangspunt, zoals een gedicht of een foto. De docent werkt daarbij als katalysator en daagt jou uit te werken aan je beeldende ontwikkeling en grenzen te verleggen.

Tekenen en schilderen voor alle niveaus

De cursus Tekenen en schilderen voor alle niveaus wordt gegeven door ervaren kunstenaars. Zij geven maatwerk. Als kunstenaar delen ze hun kennis, ervaring en passie met je. In de eerste les vindt een inventarisatie plaats: hoeveel ervaring heb je, en belangrijker: wat zijn je beeldende of inhoudelijk vragen ten aanzien van tekenen en schilderen. Samen worden de opdrachten, stijl en materialen bepaalt.

De niveaus lopen door elkaar. Ben je starter, her-starter, vervolger of gevorderd: je bent welkom! Leer de stokpaardjes van deze kunstenaars kennen in deze zeer gestructureerde cursus!

Cursus zeefdrukken

De cursus zeefdrukken is bedoeld voor kunstenaars en vormgevers die kennis willen maken met deze techniek. Voor zeefdrukken hoef je niet per se goed te kunnen tekenen, schilderen of ontwerpen: met wat gevoel voor kleur en compositie kan je al verrassend mooie afdrukken maken.


Je leert in de les ook veel van wat anderen doen en hoe ze zeefdrukken toepassen. Tijdens de cursus krijg je per mail regelmatig informatie, links naar de online uitleg documenten en voorbeelden van werk van kunstenaars en ontwerpers. Als je wilt kun je je op de lessen voorbereiden, maar dat is niet verplicht of noodzakelijk.

Diepdruk en etsen

In de cursus Diepdruk en etsen krijg je stapsgewijs instructies hoe de etsplaat bewerkt wordt en maak je kennis met het procedé van “afslaan en drukken’’.

Vrij atelier etsen / litho

Diepdruk en vlakdruk zijn twee druktechnieken met een eigen werkwijze en eindresultaat. Je verdiept je in deze vormen van grafiek en leert alles over de mogelijkheden van etsen,  gravure en steendrukken. Je krijgt een uitgebreide introductie in de lithografie.

Grafiek Atelier Zaterdag

Wil je even iets anders doen en jezelf terug kunnen trekken uit de jachtige buitenwereld, dan is het grafiekatelier op MK24 jouw oase. Je kunt je daar om de week een zaterdag lang in alle rust volledig concentreren op de traditionele grafische druktechnieken en in je eigen tempo ermee werken.

Voor diegene die dat wil is er les in deze druktechnieken, waarbij we ons in een serie van 7 zaterdagen richten op de diepdruk/het etsen, een serie op de vlakdruk/lithografie en een serie zaterdagen op de hoogdruk, zowel in linoleum als in hout.
Van beginner tot gevorderde bieden deze technieken je een schat aan mogelijkheden.
Mensen die al langer bezig zijn krijgen begeleiding op hun eigen niveau.

Drawing and painting for every level

During this course you become acquainted with various drawing techniques and materials, such as charcoal, conté crayon, colored crayon, pencil and reed pen. Also the painting techniques applied to inks, water color, gouache, acrylic and oil paint. The course is highly structured with much variation in subject matter and approach.

Sculpting in stone

Hewing stone is a tough, but beautiful process, carefully exploring, seeking the shape or sometimes, suddenly, with a firm hit, taking a decision. Every stone requires a different approach. During this course, you will work pieces of stone by hand.

MKstart, a preparatory year

MKstart is a private training which will prepare you for a study in the arts and design.
All the teachers are professional artists and designers with a lot of experience in their respective fields. You’ll be working in a group with a maximum of 15 students so you’ll receive a lot of one on one attention.

Painting with oil paints

Oil painting is an ancient technique, but still full of life and rich in possibilities. Step by step, you will be guided in making this technique your own.  Lots of attention will be given to the various possibilities, such as glazing, wet in wet, thick over thin, alla prima, impasto and working with a palette knife. Dependent on the assignment, you will work on a painting once or multiple times.

Model and emotion

The human figure as the bearer of expression. This course offers a special dialogue between model and drawer with as the subject: the expression of body language. During the lessons the impartiality of the creative process is central. You will work towards your own style and practice with different drawing materials and techniques.

Drawing and Painting Techniques

If you’d like to learn techniques for drawing and painting, this is a good course to consider. Working with such subjects as landscape, portrait, still life, animals, and architecture, students will explore a variety of art materials and ways to use them. Charcoal, crayons, ink, acrylic paint, and cut-outs for collage, to name a few, will be used in exciting new ways, including through mixing multiple materials and techniques (mixed media).
